Merry Christmas!!

So it is Christmas morning and I have been up since 4am- is my body trying to prepare me for future Christmas mornings with our Little One? I am sitting here in front of the tree watching "A Christmas Story" and dreaming of the day I will be doing this with my child and I can't believe how very lucky I am. My only wish this year is that everyone I love is as happy as I am right now:) I also wanted to share pics of our beatiful tree and of our celebration with my Dad, StepMom and Grandpa last night. I am fairly sure our baby will want for nothing since the "Grandbaby" received more presents than Brian and I last night and he/she has not arrived yet!! I knew this day would come - when my child started receiving copiuos amounts of presents and I am more than happy to pass the torch - I have everything I have ever wanted. I am going to sign off for now and hope to get a couple of more hours of sleep - this is going to be a long day.

12 weeks 1 day

Today was our second ultrasound and the above pictures are a result of this appt. We were able to hear the heartbeat again (158 beats a minute) and our little monster was moving around a lot. We were able to see ten little fingers and toes and teeth buds. I am feeling much better - I am not feeling nauseous anymore and Iam starting to get more energy (I am able to function after work now). I have started getting headaches but they are not so bad - I have suffered 15 years of migraines so a couple of regular headaches won't bother me.
We are all ready for Christmas and look forward to spending time with the family and showing off the new pics of our baby. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all:)

December 13th

I would like to officially say goodbye to my body. I now have a baby bump all of the time (no it is not a "food" baby anymore) and I have gained 5 pounds. The first trimester is quickly coming to an end and I am looking forward to the second trimester. I am not as nauseous at nights anymore - once in a while I have a bad night and down a Cup of Soup and lay on the couch. I am still tired and need naps on the weekends, especially if we are working hard. We have our second Ultrasound on December 21st and we can hardly wait- what a great x-mas present. I am hoping this picture will be clear enough that I can show it off. At the last ultrasound I drank too much and almost peed my pants and did not give the tech enough time to get a really good pic- I won't make that mistake again.

We are all decorated and ready for Christmas. We are looking forward to a holiday full of family and friends. I have a feeling this will be the last holiday we get presents since everyone in the family is talking about what they can buy the baby.
